John Daniel Moore, on his first day with runners, sent out his first winner, when Nataani took the Waterford & Tramore Directors Ladies Flat Race in the style of a useful prospect.
Laura Hourigan made most on the 6/1 shot and he went clear on the climb out of the dip to beat Our Gar by five lengths.
Arthur, representing his son, said: "Today is John Daniel's first day with runners so it is great for him. He is off point-to-pointing somewhere himself even though he had a runner at Punchestown too. This fellow is a nice horse, he is a half-brother to Patsy Hall, and he was unlucky first time in a point-to-point. I expect he'll go hurdling now." (EM)
