Happy connections with Tom Horn, after his success in the last at Kilbeggan© Photo Healy Racing
Mark Walsh and JP McManus took the penultimate contest with Double Seven and they doubled up in the last, the Loughnagore Beginners Chase, as Tom Horn ran out an easy winner.
Trained by Noel Meade (also completing a double after Honourable Emperor took the opener), the seven-year-old son of Beneficial was sent off the 6/4 favourite.
Having finished second and third on his two previous attempts over fences, he was stepped up in trip to three miles and a furlong here.
He tracked the leaders for much of the contest and travelled best from a good way out.
He improved to lead entering the straight and he was ridden out to assert on the run-in, scoring by four and three parts of a length at the line. Stonemaster finished back in second under Barry Geraghty for Dessie Hughes at 15/8, while Raajih was seven and a half lengths back in third under Davy Condon for Gordon Elliott at 13/2. Roving Lad (20/1) looked set to be placed when he fell at the last under Andrew Lynch for Paul Gilligan.
