Willie Mullins is hoping for an improved showing from Galopin Des Champs in the Savills Chase at Leopardstown next Thursday.
The Gold Cup winner was turned over at a short price on his return to action in the John Durkan Chase at Punchestown last month.
He kept on in the closing stages to finish third to Fastorslow on that occasion and Mullins said in an interview with journalist Denis Kirwan that he could be ridden differently this time:-
“They moved the John Durkan back and our fella disappointed a little bit there. I'm not sure we got the right tactics that day and we might change things around a bit for this race.
“I'm looking forward to it and looking forward to see what he can do. I'm quite happy with him at home.
“Three miles will suit him and it will suit the opposition. These horses want a trip, we'll learn a little bit more about him there.”
