Democracy made a winning start to his career in the opening six-furlong juvenile-maiden in the Curragh.
His stablemate, River Tiber, was a non runner due to the heavy going which saw Democracy go off even-money favourite against his four rivals.
He made stealthy progress for Wayne Lordan to lead narrowly over a furlong from home, but the pair were pressed by Jalaybee (9/2) and Chris Hayes inside the final 150 yards.
However, the No Nay Never colt had plenty in hand as he asserted in the closing stages to draw two and three-quarter lengths clear of that rival.
Aidan O'Brien said: “You’d have to be very happy with that on very deep ground. He travelled very well and, when Wayne dropped him down to go, he was a little bit lost on that ground but he would never have seen that ground before.
“It was a good education for him. He has plenty of speed and I’d say he’s a classy horse. He’s big and he’s strong and very laid-back.
“There is a Listed race (First Flier) back here in a few weeks and we could look at that.”
Democracy is a brother of Midnight Mile who won a Group 3 for Richard Fahey in her juvenile campaign last year.
