Henry de Bromhead completed a quickfire 46/1 plus double at his local track when Pidoyne took the Copper Coast Handicap Hurdle in fine style at Tramore.
The Knockeen trainer was on the mark just half-an-hour earlier when Aslukwoodhavit (10/1) scored by 16 lengths and, while Pidoyne didn’t win by as wide a margin, this was also an ultimately decisive victory. Take My Hand who was sent to the front at the third last, was headed by the 100/30 favourite just before the final flight and was just pushed out by Hugh Morgan to score by four and a quarter lengths. Prince Of Air was a further four and three-quarter lengths away in third.
De Bromhead said, “I'm delighted for the lads in the syndicate who are locals and they are great supporters of ours. I'm really happy to get a win for them here.
“They've been a little bit unlucky with her on her last couple of runs so it's nice to see her winning, Hugh gave her a super ride. He rode her the last twice and had done really well on her.
“I've no plan for her now, we'll enjoy today and see what's coming up. She seems to appreciate an ease in the ground but she might go on better ground too, we'll see."
