Jockey Niki O’Shea succeeded where Tony McCoy has failed, when winning over hurdles on Conor O’Dwyer’s Daytime Dreamer in the concluding Graun Hill Handicap Hurdle at Tramore today.
O’Shea sent the son of Diktat into a clear lead from the third last flight, eventually staying on well for an easy 11 lengths win over Symphonica
Afterwards O’Dwyer stated “Daytime Dreamer loves good ground and between being balloted out and having the wrong ground, it took him a while to win over hurdles. He ran a cracker at Perth the last day (under McCoy) and he has been a great servant for us.”
