Davison and Lee double up with She's Quality Billy Lee and Jack Davison teamed up for a quick double at Down Royal as She’s Quality readily defied topweight in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Handicap. The same rider/trainer combination took the opening juvenile maiden in style with Shamrock Breeze and She’s Quality lived up to her name when scoring in equally impressive fashion. The daughter of Acclamation was highly tried after winning a valuable Newbury maiden last year and was taking a drop in class after a couple of useful efforts in Stakes company this season. The 7/4 favourite travelled well to lead a furlong out and soon quickened clear to beat Greek Flower by two and three-quarter lengths with Beatrix Power three-quarters of a length further away in third. Lee said, "I know she has been placed in a Listed race, but those sprinters take a bit of time to learn the job properly. "She was very professional today, jumped and just followed the leaders and lobbed along. She quickened well, she's different class to them. "Hopefully, she is a filly that will keep progressing the older she gets. She's a fine big strong filly and she loves fast ground. "That will do her confidence the world of good - the three-year-olds just find it difficult at this time of year, but hopefully she will keep getting bigger and stronger." Lee also reflected on Ocean Jewel's run in the Group 2 Duke of Cambridge at Royal Ascot earlier this week saying, "I think Willie (McCreery) just said she came back a little bit stiff and sore. I think she just didn't let herself down on the quick ground." Quotes by Michael Graham
