George Duffield (53) put himself in the good books of his wife, trainer Ann, and three women owners after steering Charming Admiral to victory at Pontefract.
The 14 to 1 chance, carrying the colours of The Old Spice Girls, swept clear inside the final furlong to defeat Protocol by two lengths in the www.pontefract-races.co.uk Handicap.
It was the first win the Duffields have had on the Flat since they moved from Richmond to a new yard at Constable Burton in January. The trainer grinned: 'When George came in he said that's the first time he's satisfied four women at once!'
