Jockey Brett Doyle`s appeal against a 12-day ban for making insufficient effort on Speed Win at Happy Valley on September 6 was dismissed at a hearing today.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club confirmed that Doyle`s ban will come into immediate effect and that he can resume riding again on November 8.
Doyle continued riding pending the outcome of the appeal.
Had he accepted the original verdict he would have been able to return to the saddle on October 29. -PA
