Moody Lad was headed approaching two out having made the running, however he was back in front at the last and he stayed on well under pressure to fend off the favourite, Ballynashig.
Renepogel beat Hardwick when he won a point-to-point for Danny O'Connell at Boulta in November of 2004 and he made outing number eighteen a winning one on the track in the h'cap chase.
