Steve Craine fell foul of the Royal Ascot stewards receiving two bans in the same race. Craine, rider of Dutch Harrier who finished runner up to Dalampour in the Queen's Vase, received a three-day suspension for irresponsible riding of a minor nature (June 29th and 30th and July 1st) and a two-day ban for using his whip with excessive frequency (July 2nd and 3rd).
There was better news, however, for champion jockey Kieren Fallon who was quoted 4 to 9 with the Tote for the London Clubs Trophy for top jockey at the Royal meeting after finishing the day in the lead following a glorious 25 to 1 double courtesy of Kalanisi and Dalampour.
