Tony Martin is planning to run Davids Lad twice in two days in Britain this weekend.
He has declared the gelding for tomorrow's Holwell Handicap Hurdle at Bangor, where he will be ridden by Conor O'Dwyer.
And if the six-year-old comes out of the race in good form he will run again on Saturday in the Ladbroke Casinos Handicap Hurdle Qualifier at Haydock Park.
"The two courses are relatively close," Martin said today. "I don't see any reason why Davids Lad shouldn't go for both races.
"Unfortunately Conor can't ride him at Haydock as he will be at Newbury to ride Owen Bart for Arthur Moore in the Tote Gold Trophy. I'll probably get Adrian Maguire to ride.
Davids Lad will be bidding to complete a hat-trick tomorrow, as he came across to Britain to win at Musselburgh last month and has since followed up at Fairyhouse.
Martin also has Its Himself in a hunter chase at Haydock on Saturday and said: "In the absence of a jockey I'll probably ride him."
But Martin's plans could be scuppered by the rough seas which are hindering ferry crossings from Ireland.
He said: "I'm aware of this but I have declared my horses and I will just keep on trying. The winds could die down today and I could get over tomorrow."
Fellow Irish trainer Charlie Swan has scrapped plans to run three horses at Bangor.
He said: "I've been on the phone all morning and the ferry companies are not taking any horses."
