Behrajan, one of the season`s leading novice chasers, will bid to keep his 100 percent record over fences intact at Cheltenham or Lingfield next week.
Trained by Henry Daly, last season`s Stayers` Hurdle third is already a leading fancy for the Royal & SunAlliance Chase at the Festival in March following easy wins at Wetherby and Exeter.
'The options I have with the horse are the Ian Williams` Owners Novices` Chase at Cheltenham a week on Friday or the Grade Two Arena Leisure Novices` Chase at Lingfield a day later,' Daly said today.
'The owners are very keen for him to run at Cheltenham but he will be entered for both.'
Daly always considered that Behrajan`s future lay over fences and hand picked a couple of easy novice chase assignments for the gelding before setting his sights higher.
'The horse won nicely at Wetherby and Exeter, barely putting a foot wrong, but now he has had his couple of educational runs it`s time for him to be pitched against some of the better horses with the Royal & SunAlliance next March his obvious long term target,' added the trainer.
Daly`s mud-loving staying chaser Edmond will begin his build up towards a repeat victory in the Coral Welsh National when he is due to line up for the Tote John Hughes Chase at Chepstow on Saturday.
'He had a nice blow out at Cheltenham on his first run of the season a couple of weeks ago and he`s fine,' Daly said.
'His obvious aim will be to win the Welsh National again and he goes to Chepstow at the weekend with that in mind.
'He must have testing conditions and hopefully it will be that way for him on Saturday.'
