The three-day Irish Derby meeting at the Curragh gets underway this evening at 5pm.

Following selective watering and 1.5mm of rain on Thursday, the ground on the straight course is now good and the ground on the round course remains good, good to firm in places.

Selective watering will continue on the round course. There will be fresh ground for all three days of the meeting.

The forecast is for dry weather today, through tonight into tomorrow morning. Mid-morning 5-7mm of rain is expected. Sunday is mainly dry weather.
