A trip to Galway is now on the agenda for Enniskerry, after he was beaten into third at Bellewstown on Thursday last.

A versatile performer, the 10-year-old was a creditable seventh in the Galway Plate 12-months ago and recorded his second Flat success at Listowel last month.

Expected to follow-up at Bellewstown, the Barry Connell-trained 5/6 favourite wasn't helped by a slow start and eventually finished third to Eagle's Way.

"He was giving 12lb to a horse (Eagle's Way) that was rated the same as him and he's not really a mile and half horse," Connell reflected.

"It kind of turned into a bit of a sprint and he gave away eight lengths at the start which wasn't like him, but these things can happen.

"We'll probably head for the Amateur Handicap in Galway."
