Condon hits the front, as Silver takes Gold Silver Tassie made light work of his rivals in the Q100.5 Live Radio Broadcast Maiden Hurdle, the Davy Condon ridden victor, coming home twenty-one lengths to the good. The Patricia Hunt owned son of Shantou, was making his fourth start over hurdles this afternoon, and after finishing second at Wexford on Friday last, he was sent off the 6/4 favourite. Stepped up in trip to two miles seven furlongs, the Noel Meade trained gelding improved to lead after the sixth, he went clear from the second last and was eased right down close home. Troubled finished in second at 7/2 under Davy Russell for Dessie Hughes while Cool Klan (5/2) was a further three and three parts of a length back in third under Andrew Lynch for David O’Brien. Noel Meade said afterwards: "Davy Condon tells me he is now one ahead of Ruby in the jockeys race (leading NH jockey standings). "This horse is entered in the Doncaster Sales in August and we will see whether he goes there. "He is a horse that would suit America as he loves fast ground and he jumps well. "He was entitled to win today." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
