Conditions set to be testing at the Curragh on Sunday

After 15mm of rain since declarations on Friday morning, the ground at the Curragh ahead of this afternoons meeting has been described as heavy, soft in places(straight) and soft, soft to heavy in places(round).

The first of an eight race card at the County Kildare track is due off at 1.25. The feature event on the afternoon, the Group 3 Loughbrown Stakes has an off time of 3.45.

Meantime, Limerick stage a National Hunt card due to get underway at 1.15. The ground at the Munster venue is now officially soft, yielding to soft in places following 19mm of rain since Friday.

The Munster National, one of the highlights of the year at the Patrickswell course, is set to go to post at 3.35.
