Collingwood came with a late rattle inside the final furlong to claim the sprint handicap at Navan for Ted Walsh.
Wayne Lordan got a good tune from his mount in the closing stages as he put his head in front in the dying strides to pip Lough Mist Calm Bay was always prominent and was the one to beat passing the furlong pole.
Lough Mist ran on to challenge in the closing stages but was trumped close home by Collingwood.
"That was grand. He ran well at the Curragh last time," said Walsh afterwards.
"Wayne felt from the time he was rising up the hill he was going to get there. A blanket covered them and it could be a different result if they ran it again.
"He's been balloted out a few times and it's grand to get a win. It was a lovely pot."
