Aidan O'Brien's City Of Troy is odds-on favourite for the Juddmonte International at York and is reportedly in good shape ahead of Wednesday's Group One.

The Derby winner was last seen in early July where he got the better of recent German Group One winner Al Riffa in the Eclipse Stakes and is a best price of 4/5 for the ten-furlong contest on the Knavesmire.

After seeing Ballydoyle juvenile Bernard Shaw win at Dundalk yesterday, stable representative Chris Armstrong said of the stable's star three-year-old: "He has come out of Sandown very well.

"He has just got to get through his next couple of tests over the next couple of days before next week.

"It is a good race, but he is one we are really looking forward to.

"He has got everything - he's got temperament, he's got the attitude, he's got the mentality and he's unbelievably physically with great balance. He has unbelievable movement - when you watch his stride length, it is unbelievable. He's got the pedigree, the engine- he's got everything."
