Cheltenham Festival 2014 Tips OLBG.com is a Sports Betting Community of knowledgeable tipsters sharing their tips and competing for notoriety and a share of the monthly prize pool of £5,000 in cash and £2,700 in free bets. Looking towards Cheltenham Festival 2014, a selection of their consistently profitable tipsters share their views on the big races coming up this week. Looking to Tuesday's feature race, the Champion Hurdle, it looks a fairly open contest with 4 horses rated between 11/4 and 5/1 at the time of writing. All but one of those horses (My Tent Or Yours) won at last year's Festival and a previous win at the Cheltenham Festival is often a key pointer to this race. Hurricane Fly is still in great form and might well got off favourite on the day but the last time a 10 year old won this race was back in 1980 and it's undeniable that the horse is better in Ireland than he is at Cheltenham. Therefore backers could look elsewhere and 'Adziniho 151' is leaving Hurricane Fly out of his calculations: "This for me is a two horse race between The New One and Our Conor. Both are unexposed and both love Cheltenham. Our Conor has been beaten twice by Hurricane Fly this season but the Fly is impossible to beat at Leopardstown whilst he hasn't always performed at Cheltenham. Our Conor on the other hand improved massively to win last years Triumph Hurdle and can reverse that length defeat." With Our Conor rated at 4/1 he might be a decent each way bet, only having to finish in the frame to be guaranteed your money back. Wednesday's big race is the Champion Chase which is always one of the most exciting races at the Festival. It's also a more competitive race this year due to the absence of current champion Sprinter Sacre. Sire De Grugy is the 9/4 favourite at the time of writing but this might be another race where there is better value elsewhere with Sire De Grugy failing to win in two races at Cheltenham so far. Captain Conan has already beaten him over this course and distance and is trained by Cheltenham Festival specialist Nicky Henderson so he represents solid form and he's caught the eye of 'Randy Rann' at 5/1: "One who I feel is value is stable mate of last year's winner Captain Conan. The 2m trip is perfect on this stiff track and he was bang there before fading after the last at last years festival so being a course and distance winner this looks tailor made. He is a grade 1 winner, has beaten Sire De Grugy at this track and ran well at last season's Cheltenham festival so to me looks a cracking each way price." Thursday's feature is the World Hurdle and all eyes will be on Big Bucks as he attempts to win this for a fifth time. He missed the race due to injury and suffered his first defeat in 18 runs last time out but he was only narrowly beaten and he hasn't been these sorts of odds (11/4 at the time of writing) for a race since winning this for the first time in 2008. Hs main market rival, Annie Power, is unproven at the trip and that is one of the reasons 'Kincsem' fancies Big Bucks: "Now that Annie Power is confirmed for this race, the value on Big Bucks has increased. He ran a massive race under the circumstances in the Cleve Hurdle and was not beaten far enough to suggest that he's lost it. He should come on from the run and will be ready for the World Hurdle. He looks a good bet against unproven horse like Annie Power." The race everyone looks forward to each year is the Cheltenham Gold Cup on Friday and it looks as though the favourite and last year's winner Bobs Worth is going to be very difficult to beat at a course he loves according to 'Monkeytennis': "Five out of five at Cheltenham. Three out of Three at the Festival and one of out one in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. He stays all day, loves this course and his main market rival is a horse he beat last season. Silviniaco Conti is probably flattered by his performance last year as he fell when still going well so his stamina wasn't fully tested and Bobs Worth should enjoy the better ground this year too."
