The Charlie Swan trained Checkpointcharlie under David Casey, made a winning hurdling debut in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle at Thurles today.
Swan later reported of the J.P. McManus owned winner "Checkpointcharlie is from a good staying family and will make a nice chaser some day. His jumping wasn't great today but hopefully he will improve from the run. He'll go for a staying novice race next."
