Champion jockey Colin Keane partnered a third career winner for trainer Fozzy Stack today when steering Never Cry Never (9/2) to win Dundalk's DKITSU Race Day Maiden.

Sponsored and well supported by Dundalk I.T's Students Union, the seven-runner race was led by Reinforce but was headed by Never Cry Never two furlongs out before staying on well to beat 4/5f Cross Border comfortably.

Keane and Stack had previously combined for a Curragh Listed win with Aussie Girl in October and today Keane commented "I was talking to Fozzy beforehand and he said Never Cry Never lengthens more than he quickens, and said to be good and positive riding him.

"We had something to aim at (leader Reinforce) at the bottom of the straight and when we went about it, to be fair he picked up the whole way to the line. He was probably getting a bit lonely but, if anything had come to him, I think he would have picked up again."
