Try Freedom runner-up here last Saturday, went one better when taking the Irish Racehorse Trainers Association Yearbook & Diary 2011 Handicap for the father and son team of Peter and Oliver Casey.
The five-year-old gelding made smooth headway on the far rail to lead two furlongs out, and kept on well to beat Chaparro by two lengths with Sparring Partner just a shorthead back in third.
“He needs hard ground and I think he could make a nice summer chaser some day,” said the winning trainer afterwards.
