Callthebarman followed-up on his win at Huntingdon last month, as he got the better of Visioman in the Summer Party Pack Handicap Hurdle.
The Gavin Cromwell trained four-year-old landed a bit of gamble at the Cambridgeshire track when ridden by Rachael Blackmore, and he was expected to go in again this evening, as he went off the 7/4 favourite under Brien Kane.
Settled in second, the son of Lord Shanakill improved to lead after two out, but was soon pressed on his outside by Visioman.
The pair jumped the last together, with Callthebarman soon gaining a narrow lead, keeping on well under pressure on the run-in to score by half a length.
The runner-up was returned at 4/1 under Robbie Power for Henry de Bromhead, while Billy's Angel (10/1) was another nine and a half lengths back in third with Andrew Lynch aboard for Adrian Murray.
Cromwell said afterwards: "He's a grand little horse and is a half-brother to Jer's Girl. He's strong for a four-year-old and is making use of the allowance at the minute.
"Peggy's Acre went a nice gallop and gave him a lead but I was afraid that Puppy (Robert Power on Visioman) was coming to do him but it worked out. He'll run away over the summer.
"Jer’s Girl is grand after Punchestown but she seems to have lost her spark a bit. She’s home safe and sound and I'm not sure what we are going to do with her. We'll have to see."
