Ireland's Call bounced back from a below par effort on the level at the Curragh last time to run out a good two and a half length winner of the Coors Light Hurdle under Donal MacAuley.
From before the straight it was clear that the grey was galloping all over his rivals and the Down Royal winner found the necessary when required to beat Spanish Auriga (ran a big race for a 33/1 shot).
Ireland's Call was a six time winner on the flat in his days with Peter Casey and he is now with Philip Rothwell.
His win up North in June was most timely as it arrived on the 82nd birthday of his owner, Basil Brindley. The owner of Rathbeggan House Stud has been enjoying a good time with his horses lately.
Cork rider, Donal MacAuley has been aboard for both these wins.
