Former British sprinter Cryhavoc made a winning American debut when beating favourite Dream Counter by a nose in the 47,000 dollar feature race at Hollywood Park.
Ridden by David Flores and carrying 8st 5lb, the 10-1 shot won Friday`s allowance/claiming race for three-year-olds and upwards over five and a half furlongs on turf.
Cryhavoc`s only previous win from 20 races so far this year came at Epsom in July when he was trained by David Nicholls. He was sold out of the Thirsk yard for 35,000 guineas in October.
