Connections of Holding Court have until Tuesday to decide whether to supplement the runaway Prix du Jockey-Club winner for the Budweiser Irish Derby on Sunday.
Holding Court slammed a high-class line-up on very soft going at Chantilly, making all the running to score by six lengths from Lord Flasheart.
It will cost IR£85,000 to add the Michael Jarvis-trained colt to the field for the Curragh Classic and the Newmarket trainer today said: 'We are looking at things day by day. We'll just have to make sure everything is still OK on Tuesday because when you pay out that sort of money then you are committed.'
Holding Court's preparation for Sunday's race has so far gone to plan.
'He's fine and his preparation has gone OK,' said Jarvis. 'He's not an exuberant work horse for a front runner - he just does enough.'
Jarvis will be keeping an eye on the weather as Holding Court has shown his best form with plenty of give underfoot. The going at the Curragh is currently described as good.
He said: 'They had some rain in the latter half of last week but good ground is fine for him.'
Vodafone Derby victor Sinndar is also reported in 'good form' as he continues his build-up to become the first horse since Commander In Chief in 1993 to win at Epsom and the Curragh.
King's Best, the Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner and the long-time ante-post favourite for the Derby until injury ruled him out, may also run in Ireland.
'It will be interesting,' added Jarvis. 'Let's hope they all get there in one piece, that's the main thing.'
