CONNECTIONS WAIT ON SLIP`S TARGET

Connections will wait before deciding on a target for Tote Ebor winner Give The Slip.

The three-year-old put up a brave front-running display at York on Wednesday, holding off favourite Boreas by three-quarters of a length and giving Pat Eddery his 100th winner of the season in the process.

The colt`s trainer Amanda Perrett said this morning: 'He`s fine.

'We`ll see how he is - he doesn`t hold an engagement in the Leger and we`ll give it a couple of days before we make a decision what we`ll do with him.

'We`re not in any hurry. It was a very tough race but we were delighted with him and look forward to running him again.'

Give The Slip`s victory at York was the third big Tote-sponsored prize the Pulborough trainer has captured this season following Bangalore success in the Chester Cup and Tillerman`s Tote International Stakes triumph.

And Mrs Perrett is hoping to land some more of the Tote`s money this autumn in the Cambridgeshire and Cesarewitch.

'We`ve gota couple of entries, Bangalore`s in the Cesarewitch and we`ve got a few in the Cambridgeshire but it`s a little bit too early to have definite running plans,' the trainer added.

'But we will be trying to win them!'
