Andrew Leigh got due rewards on Ossiana in the Equine Warehouse 3-Y-O Maiden Hurlde at Clonmel.
Leigh broke his collarbone when the filly fell on her hurdling debut at Roscommon and was having only his third ride back when partnering the daughter of Polish Precedent again.
The Jessica Harrington-trained filly hit the front before the second last and stayed on gamely, despite flashing her tail, for a length-and-a-half victory over Tango Foxtrot.
'That was nice for Andrew,' said the jockey's father Eamonn, who is Harrington's travelling head lad. ' She's a bit of a lady and he gets on well with her.'
Emmet Butterly has been the apprentice find of the season and gave another display of his talents when getting Supercat up in a terrific finish to the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Claiming Race.
There were four in with a shout inside the final furlong but Butterly was strong on his mount and forced her head in front to hold Tamara Gervasoni by the narrowest of margins.

Be My Magic may have another go at hurdling following her battling success in the September Handicap while Miss Edgehill made the running and stayed on gamely in the closing stages to narrowly hold the finish of Sauterelle in the Nutri-Grand Maiden Hurdle.
