CLARK RESTS AFTER LINGFIELD FALL

Jockey Tony Clark will be a rare absentee from tomorrow's all-weather Flat meeting at Lingfield.

The Equitrack regular, who has been easily the most successful rider at the track in recent seasons and has ridden no fewer than 80 winners there in the past five years, is still feeling the effects of a fall on Saturday.

"He rode out this morning and he felt he wouldn't be able to give 100% tomorrow," said his agent Peter Harris.

"He will be back on Saturday."

Clark, who is in third place in the all-weather riders' table with 23 winners this winter, suffered bad bruising when his mount Space Race collapsed and died after passing the post at Lingfield last Saturday.

He is expected to return to action at Wolverhampton this Saturday.
