CHELTENHAM GOES INTO PRINT

Cheltenham racecourse today announced the launch of a magazine, to be published in partnership with Channel 4.

The course`s commercial manager Peter McNeile said: 'The initial magazine will be distributed on November 1 by direct mail to a controlled circulation list consisting of Cheltenham`s annual members, other racegoers and selected parties.

'The launch of the magazine comes the week before The Open 2000 and there will be two further issues this season - one at Christmas and the other in early March.'

Advance bookings for next month`s 'The Open 2000' - formerly the Murhpy`s meeting - are reported to be running at record levels.

Managing director Edward Gillespie said: 'It is very encouraging to see advance bookings doing so well.'
