CHARNOCK BACK NEXT MONTH

Lindsay Charnock has made a good recovery from two operations to remove and repair vein blockages and hopes to be back race-riding at Southwell on April 10 or Pontefract the following day.

The Flat jockey has not ridden since early-January after complaining of numbness in a leg.

But his wife Gloria, who will be booking mounts for Charnock and for Paul Fessey this season, revealed: "Lindsay started riding out again on Saturday.

"He has not had any adverse reaction from the operations and the leg is holding up fine. He will see his specialist again on April 7th and he expects to get the go-ahead to return."
