CAUSEWAY ASCOT POSSIBLE

Giant's Causeway could bid to avenge yesterday's Entenmann's Irish 2,000 Guineas defeat by Bachir at Royal Ascot.

Aidan O'Brien today nominated the Group One St James Palace Stakes as the likely target for the dual classic placed son of Storm Cat.

'Giant's Causeway needs a strong level pace and Mick (Kinane) said that it just didn't work for him yesterday.' said O'Brien after saddling Darwin for an impressive debut at the Curragh today.

'He's a big long striding horse who needs to build up momentum and I wouldn't be surprised if Mick let him go along next time.

'He took three runs to come to himself last year and it may take another run to get him right. He has been sleeping at home and racing should bring him on.

'We'll have a look at the St James Palace.'
