Frost has put paid to today's meeting at Carlisle.
Racing was called off when a second inspection of the track found conditions unfit, with little prospect of an improvement in time for the scheduled start.
"It's bad news," said clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell, after being forced to abandon Carlisle's richest meeting of the season.
"There is still a lot of frost in the ground. It was coming out slowly but too slowly and there was little chance of it coming out in the time required.
"If the sun was out it might have been different but it is foggy."
It is the 13th jumps meeting to be abandoned during the current season and the second at Carlisle, where racing was also lost on December 30th.
