Adrian Murray's crack-sprinter Bucanero Fuerte is set to return to action in Group One company at Haydock this weekend.

The Wootton Bassett colt missed an engagement in the Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot in June due to travel sickness.

He has already scored at the top level in the Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh in August last year and began this season with a victory in a Group 3 at Naas in May.

Murray said: “Bucanero Fuerte is going to Haydock on Saturday for the Betfair Sprint Cup.

“We’ll be hoping that he’s made a full recovery and is back to his best.

“We’re very happy with him at home. We had him at the Curragh last week and he worked very well."
