The Daniel Miley trained Bualadh Croi left behind uninspiring '00/0-0' form figures to cause a 25/1 upset on his handicap debut in the [email protected] Median Auction Maiden at Dundalk this evening.

Ridden by Ian Brennan, the son of Viking Ruler raced prominently before moving to the front a furlong out. The winner's lead was reduced in the closing stages but held on to deny trainer David Marnane and jockey Fergal Lynch a treble with fast finishing runner-up He's Got Rhythm

Afterwards Miley stated “Bualadh Croi suffered with his muscles and that's why he has been so lightly raced. He showed promise as a two year old but has been disappointing all along since.

“We'll probably go again over a mile or step him up in trip. He was still a bit green there and Ian gave him a good ride.”

The winner paid 43/1 on Tote and 49/1 SP on Betfair.
