Bottler'secret (4/1) made it four wins in a row when landing the O'Driscoll's Irish Whiskey Juvenile Hurdle for Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue.
Successful on his final two starts on the Flat for Ciaran Murphy last year and a Grade 3 winner at Naas on hurdling debut, the son of Dragon Pulse was always prominent and went on at the second-last to beat Karl Des Tourelles by three and three quarter lengths.
Cromwell, also amongst the winners at Cork with Macinamillion said:- “He's a lovely straightforward horse. He races lazily which you'd love in a horse coming off the Flat. He jumped really well there today.
“The cheekpieces just helped him travel a little bit better. He was behind the bridle a lot the last day. He went to the line really well and hopefully there is more to come.
“I wouldn't say he has to have it this soft, I'd say on the Flat it was important because he probably just lacked a gear.”
When asked if he would go to Punchestown he added:- “Yeah, I'd say definitely. Sure why wouldn't you at this stage? The timing is nice as well with the early Easter.”
