Bishan Bedi can't manage Wildcat After a win on debut in May 2012, twenty three subsequent starts proved to be fruitless for Tennessee Wildcat. However, he got back on the winning trail on January 9th, and he went back-to-back under Colin Keane in the Floodlit Friday Nights Handicap at Dundalk this evening. Odds-on favourite Bishan Bedi was obviously popular following his recent performances here, and himself and Tennessee Wildcat engaged in a fantastic 'set-to' from over a furlong out. In the end Tennessee Wildcat, trained by Ger Lyons for Sean Jones, came out on top by a neck. Lyons' brother and assistant Shane said: "We didn't claim (top-weight with ten stone one on his back) as Colin knows him and was very strong on him. "He battled really well. The trip (a mile) is a massive help. He ran straight to the line and he had every opportunity to baulk out of it. "We'll freshen him up and look forward to the grass. Hopefully there's a big mile handicap in him in the middle of the summer." (AM & EM)
