Ben Curtis gave Mrs Batt a fine front-running ride to claim the seven furlong handicap at Limerick.
Last season's joint champion apprentice bounced out smartly on his mount and she was still travelling well turning for home.
John Nicholson 's charge kept on gamely when asked for an effort over a furlong out and held the late challenge of Legendary Times by a neck.
"To be honest I was expecting that. I knew she was very well," said Nicholson afterwards.
"Her last run was a bit of a disaster. She went to Wolverhampton and was gone for three days. We had to go early because of the weather.
"It was around the same time as Guy Fawkes over there and the fireworks drove her mad. She didn't eat or drink for three days.
"The track suited her here today."
