Jonathan Sweeney is already looking forward to going over hurdles with Barnahash Primrose next season, although the smart mare is likely to run again in a bumper this term.
The daughter of Malinas impressed on debut at the Limerick Christmas meeting and was Grade 2 placed earlier this month when third behind Fleur Au Fusil in the Coolmore NH Sires Mares Flat Race at the Dublin Racing Festival.
“She’s good and has come out of her last run well. I’m happy with her,” the Cork trainer told Racing TV.
“She’ll benefit from going further and she jumps. She’s very, very good to jump and I’m looking forward to her over hurdles next year.”
Sweeney intends giving her another run in a bumper this season and added: “She could go to Aintree, but she likes it soft and we probably won’t get that there.
“The Listed bumper at Fairyhouse would suit her.”
