Trainer Philip Rothwell has been fined €130 for not appointing an Authorised Representative for Ballinrobe's meeting yesterday, where his Miss Anfield was withdrawn as a result of a yard mix-up.

Miss Anfied was withdrawn from a handicap hurdle at the fixture as the IHRB Veterinary Officer Nicola O'Connor was unable to positively identify her from the markings contained in the passport presented.

Evidence was later heard from Rachel O'Neill, trainer John 'Shark' Hanlon's partner, who stated that Rothwell had delivered Miss Anfield to Hanlon's yard this morning at approximately 10:30am to be later transported to Ballinrobe.

O'Neill added that when the horse arrived, it was put on the walker and then an unnamed gelding that had been purchased recently was mistakingly taken off the walker and loaded onto the lorry, for Ballinrobe. Vet O'Connor stated that the animal presented as Miss Anfield was in fact an unnamed gelding.

The Stewards, pursuant to the provisions of Rule 90(iv), ordered the withdrawal of Miss Anfield, referred the matter to a senior racing official and furthermore, were satisfied Rothwell was in breach of Rule 147(V), in that he had not appointed an Authorised Representative to represent him and thus fined Rothwell €130.
