Ger Lyons has said that recent impressive Cork maiden winner Babouche could possibly make her reappearance in the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh next month.
Although the Juddmonte owned filly has a couple of alternative options in the coming weeks, Lyons would not be afraid to wait for the Group 1 in August.
“She had a tad sore shin after Cork so she's missed a week and had her first breeze back this morning," he reported.
“We like her and I made a last minute entry yesterday for Newmarket (Duke Of Cambridge Stakes on July 12th) but I think that will come too quick.
“The Anglesey is on the cards but if we don't do that she could go straight for the Phoenix Stakes or something like that.
“We'll discuss it with Barry and the owners and do what's right by her. She's an exciting filly and it was no surprise to see winners coming out of the race behind her.
“We knew we had smart fillies and they are as smart as I've had so long may that continue. Hopefully they'll keep turning up and keep improving because we want them for the big races next year.”
