American jockey Dean Butler, in intensive care in hospital since a fall at Monmouth Park on Wednesday, has avoided serious injury.
The 29-year-old remains in a critical condition but X-rays and a CAT scan have revealed no fractures of his neck or spine.
He suffered concussion, a broken nose, a chipped tooth and facial bruises after being fired into the ground when his mount Gesche came down in a maiden claimer on turf. -PA
