Kempton could provide a few clues for the Sagitta 1000 and 2000 Guineas when it stages its Classic trials on Saturday.
The Sovereign Bookmakers 0845 600 4004 Easter Stakes has attracted 23 entries today including a number of 2000 Guineas possibles.
They include the Aidan O'Brien-trained Brahms who finished second to Distant Music for the Ballydoyle trainer in last year's Dewhurst Stakes.
Paul Cole has entered Akeed and Mastermind, the latter a winner from Kentucky Derby hope The Deputy at Newmarket last July.
Harry Herbert of owners Highclere Thoroughbred Racing Ltd said today: "Mastermind could either run in the Craven Stakes on Thursday or the Easter Stakes on Saturday _ we'll see what the ground's doing.
"He ran well on his two starts last season, winning impressively at Newmarket, and the form of those races is very good."
Another who has the thehorsesmouth.co.uk Craven Stakes as an alternative is the Summoner, an easy winner at Doncaster last month.
Trainer Roger Charlton said: "The plan is to go for either the Craven Stakes or the Easter Stakes _ we'll see how the horse is."
Other notable entries include Sir Michael Stoute's unbeaten Adilabad, a winner at Sandown and Newmarket last season, and the Henry Cecil-trained Decarchy, who scored by seven lengths at Yarmouth on his only start in 1999.
The fillies' trial, the Sovereign '0% Tax' Bookmakers Masaka Stakes, has received 20 entries including current 1000 Guineas favourite High Walden.
The Henry Cecil-trained three-year-old misses tomorrow's Shadwell Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket and could be joined by stablemate Corinium, who beat Dubai Duty Free Stakes winner Iftiraas in the Radley Stakes at Newbury in 1999.
