There are two British challengers for the Guinness Kerry National at Listowel tomorrow.
Ferdy Murphy sends Mac`s Supreme, the mount of Timmy Murphy, over from his West Witton base with the Paul Moloney-ridden Laazim Afooz representing RichardPhillips in the #49,600 handicap, which has attracted a field of 13.
Mac`s Supreme, has won his three starts this season but has not been seen out since scoring at Perth at the end of June.
Laazim Afooz has also three victories to his credit this term but last time made mistakes when second of three to Die Fledermaus at Southwell.
Leading the home team are Super Franky and Edward O`Grady`s Nicholls Cross, who will be ridden by Norman Williamson.
Williamson was in the plate when Nicholls Cross finished third to Nordance Prince in the First National Bank Gold Cup at Ascot last November.
Murphy is hopeful of the chances of his raider Mac`s Supreme.
He said: 'Basically he`s only a novice but we are hoping for a big run from Mac`s Supreme.
'He`s only had four races over fences and he`s won his last three and is an improving horse.
'He`s won on good ground but Adrian (Maguire) was here riding out this morning and he said soft would suit him better.'
Maguire is hoping to return to race-riding in the near future.
He had surgery to strengthen his right wrist in June and had the plaster removed last month.
Murphy had good news of his stable jockey. He said: 'He rode three out this morning and the arm is good.'
Paris Pike, winner of last season`s Ladbroke Casinos Scottish Grand National for the stable, is set to reappear in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury in November.
'He worked this morning and is bouncing,' said Murphy. 'He`s rated 152 so he should get in the Hennessy on 11st 3lb or 11st 4lb if the good horses run.
'He comes to hand early and won first time out for us last year so he`ll go straight for the Hennessy.'
