BRITISH DUO BID FOR PARIS GLORY

Beat Hollow and Best Of The Bests will be the only foreign runners in Sunday's Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp.

The British-based pair, separated by four lengths when third and fourth respectively in the Vodafone Derby a fortnight ago were among a field of seven declared today for the Longchamp feature.

Richard Quinn keeps the ride on Beat Hollow, with Sylvain Guillot taking over from Chris McCarron on Best Of The Bests.

Aidan O'Brien withdrew Ciro today from the Group One mile-and-a-quarter contest,

The five other declared runners include Prix Hocquart second Crimson Quest, whose trainer Andre Fabre has won the last four runnings and seven of the last nine.

The Prix de la Porte Maillot on the same card has attracted John Gosden's Mount Abu (ridden by Gerald Mosse), Godolphin's Josr Algarhoud (Guillot) and Brian Meehan's Tumbleweed Ridge (Michael Tebbutt) - the first two supplementary entries at a cost of 22,000 francs (around £2,113).

German pair Barrow Creek and Lidio are also in a field of nine for the Group Three race.
