Addington Boy, a creditable fourth to Bobbyjo in last season's Martell Grand National, will reappear at Cheltenham en-route to another crack at the Aintree marathon.
The 12-year-old has been allotted 11st 2lb and is now back with Ferdy Murphy following a spell in Ireland.
The Middleham trainer said today: "He had lost his way a bit before the Murphy's at Cheltenham in November but he seems to have got all his old enthusiasm back now.
"He spent some time with my sister in Ireland and then with a point-to-point trainer, Liz Doyle in Wexford - and when she told me her pointers could not go with him on the beach I went over to ride him and he really was in good form so we decided to have another go with him."
He went on: "We will run him in the William Hill National Hunt Chase at the Festival and then all being well we will be off to Aintree - and if the ground was right we would be sweet on his chances."
