BOBBY GRANTED REST

Bobby Grant is set for a holiday after his gallant second to The Last Fling in the Bet Direct Peter Marsh Chase at Haydock on Saturday.

And trainer Peter Beaumont will wait before deciding on a target for his progressive nine-year-old, who was beaten three-quarters of a length by Sue Smith's charge at the Merseyside course.

"He had a tough race at Haydock and had run only two weeks before that, so he needs a break now," said Beaumont.

"I'll be giving it a few weeks before thinking about where to go next with him."

Bobby Grant has won three of his five starts this season, including the Grade Two Bet Direct Tommy Whittle Chase at Haydock in December.
