BLEU HEADS CHANDLER WEIGHTS

Edredon Bleu heads the weights published today for the Victor Chandler Chase at Ascot on January 13th.

The Queen Mother Champion Chase winner has been set 11st 10lb and would have to give 7lb and upwards to his rivals should he take part in the Grade Two two-mile contest.

Henrietta Knight`s charge, winner of the Peterborough Chase for a third time at Huntingdon last month, is currently on target for the Pertemps King George VI Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day.

A total of 29 horses have been entered for the #60,000 contest with the Paul Nicholls-trained Fadalko, second to Flagship Uberalles in Saturday`s Tingle Creek Trophy at Cheltenham, next in the weights on 11-3.

Nicholls also has Call Equiname (10-7) in the race, a contest he won in 1998 when defeating Get Real.

Get Real (10-12) is one of three Nicky Henderson-trained possibles along with Tiutchev (11st), who was well beaten on his return to action in the Tingle Creek.

Henderson`s Geos, winner of the Bula Hurdle atCheltenham on Saturday, is the surprise name among the entries.

The six-year-old, a winner over fences in France, is reportedly on target for the Pertemps Christmas Hurdle at Kempton on December 27 and is likely to remain over timber.

Venetia Williams has a strong team for the race with five entries including last year`s winner Nordance Prince (10-5).

Her squad also includes Bellator (10-13), The Outback Way (10-7), Davoski (10st) and Samakaan (9-12).

Other notable entries include the Mary Reveley-trained Function Dream (10st), an impressive winner of her last two starts.
