BEAT ALL FINE AFTER WITHDRAWAL

Beat All is reported to be "fine" following his controversial withdrawal from the Huxley Stakes at Chester on Thursday.

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt was due to have his seasonal debut in the Listed contest but was withdrawn by the starter after the racecourse vet found him to be lame.

However as the horse left the track he appeared to be sound again and his trainer tried, unsuccessfully, to reinstate him in the race.

Joe Mercer, racing manager to the four-year-old's owner Saeed Suhail, said today: "I have spoken to the people in question this morning on behalf of the owner and I am told he is fine.

"It's too early to talk about races for him at this stage."

Beat All finished third behind Oath in last season's Vodafone Derby last June but has not raced since finishing fourth in the Irish equivalent later that month.
